Sometimes all it takes is a little faith. Born in the wilds of White Mountain, Wyoming, Lindsay's Faith was gathered by the Bureau of Land Management shortly before she turned six. Passed over by potential adopters because of her age, this bay roan mare with a unique silver mane was selected to participate in the Mustang Heritage Foundation's inaugural Supreme Extreme Mustang Makeover. In this event, 6-year-old mustangs are adopted by trainers, who have only 100 days to gentle and train their mustang partner. After this 100-day period, the teams face off in an exciting competition.
The goal of this program is to show all a mustang can accomplish and to help unwanted mustangs find forever homes. Adopted by trainer Mary Miller-Jordan, Lindsay's Faith made it all the way to the finals of the Supreme Extreme Mustang Makeover. After the competition, the pair began competing in American Competitive Trail Horse Association (ACTHA) events, where Lindsay's Faith excelled. The ACTHA created America's Favorite Trail Horse competition which also aired on RFD-TV and Lindsay's Faith and Mary were selected to compete. Horse and rider had to navigate tricky trail obstacles in front of judges and then fans at home voted for their favorite team.
In the fall of 2011, fans from across the nation voted Mary and Lindsay's Faith the winners of the very first season of America's Favorite Trail Horse competition. Lindsay's Faith and Mary show that with a little faith, trust and patience, adopted mustangs can go on to achieve great things.
